President’s Message
Posted over 3 years ago by Frankie Sewell
As the new President of the SACNAP, I want to invite each one of you back to the table! Sadly, COVID put a dent in our organization. We just can’t let this continue! We need you! Its way past time for Texas NP’s to gain full practice authority. What say you? If you agree, then let’s not sit on the sidelines any longer! Let’s get busy!
I recently attended the TNP conference with Debra Sosolik, our outgoing President, Laura Odom, and Delilah Deguire-Guerra, Treasurer of SACNAP. The TNP is an incredible group of professionals, and I’m proud to be a nurse in advanced practice!
The TNP mission is: Empowering nurse practitioners to advance our profession and the health of all Texans through a unified voice. I feel so energized by this and ready to get to work.
As president this is my vision:
Build a vibrant professional NP community through outreach and engagement of our members
Join forces with the TNP in promoting full practice authority in Texas
Let’s talk. Please join us this Thursday, May 19th at 6:00 pm at the River View Restaurant! We can dine, fellowship, learn and plan out our year. We’ll be discussing our plans for the August Rejuvenation Meeting at the Raw 1899. The TNP PAC (Political Action Committee) Government Affairs Director Erin Cusack is invited to bring us an important presentation on full practice authority in Texas. The plan is to bring a congress person to speak. We’ll have wine, drinks, and finger foods. Let’s get recharged, refocused and charge ahead!
The meeting this Thursday is sponsored by Novo Nordisk and will bring a speaker to introduce you to the newest, greatest weight loss drug-Wegovy!
God bless each one of you!
