Outcome Statement
The learner will gain the knowledge needed to:
- Appropriately manage patients undergoing bariatric surgery, transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF) and TIF with hiatal hernia repair;
- Develop a plan to implement medical strategic and tactical goals in dealing with future exposure threats;
- Provide current evidence-based treatment to the patient with a brown recluse spider bite;
- Describe the pathophysiologic effects of obstructive sleep apnea (OSAS);
- Describe non-surgical and surgical management options in the treatment of OSAS; and
- Manage common oral lesions.
This will be measured by the learner’s intent to change practice as reflected on the Participant Evaluation Tool at the end of the program.
San Angelo Community Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association - Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This CNE activity has been jointly provided by San Angelo Community Medical Center collaboratively with the San Angelo Coalition of Nurses in Advanced Practice.
